Darryl & Trena Marks serve as leaders in our Elevate Kid’s Ministry.

They desire to see children’s lives transformed through the power of God’s word and the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit working in their hearts. Passionate about seeing children rooted and grounded, their focus is to challenge children to know Christ, not simply to know about Him, to go deeper in their faith and be able to stand firm. Darryl has been leading and mentoring praise and worship with children for over twenty years and is committed to training this generation to “declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness and into His wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9). 

Darryl and Trena met at Vanguard University in Southern California. Darryl majored in Psychology with a minor in Pastoral Ministries. Trena majored in Biology and Chemistry, and later pursued an MBA with an emphasis in Health Systems Management at Grand Canyon University. Darryl works as a Controls Application Support Specialist for a leading HVAC equipment manufacturer. On Sunday Mornings, acoustic is the instrument of choice, but he also enjoys playing bass and electric guitar, is a video game enthusiast, and enjoys golf from time to time. Trena is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, currently serving as Laboratory Operations Supervisor in an infectious disease lab and enjoys time with family and reading a good book. They have one adult son, working in the home remodeling industry, who shares a love of music, and enjoys playing guitar or drums with dad.
